Butt hurt united fans need to shut up about ‘buying the league’ - its a cop out and bullshit.
If you start up a business (which a football club is) the first few years you put in as much money as you can and then as years pass you make profit on you investment. Why would the Abu dhabi group not put good money into their new purchase?!
Or do people forget they’ve been buying good players since 2008 when they took over. Didn’t win leagues straight away did they? No. Hard work and perseverance go a long way.
If any club suddenly had the same money that city does they would do the same thing. It’s smart business planning and it worked.
Would Basingstoke ever win the league? No. Why? Because they don’t have the money. Money buys smart managers, good players, the best physicians, the best grounds.
But those players, Mancini, and everyone else behind them worked their asses off to win this. Saying they ‘bought the league’ is bullshit. They worked damn hard for that. Good on them.
